Dr. Kleinpeter's involvement with the equine community began at an early age. Reared in a family with deep roots in the Quarter Horse industry, he had the privilege of showing performance horses as a youngster and from there his lifelong love of horses began. A veterinary career was a clear and natural choice for him. Upon graduation from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, he began serving the needs of the Baton Rouge equine community in 1978. With valuable experience in all facets of equine practice, he now places special emphasis and focus in the areas of equine sports medicine and podiatry both locally and on a national level.
Dr Kleinpeter and his lovely wife Sandy have been married since 1972 and are blessed with five daughters and ten grandchildren (so far). Dr Kleinpeter is very proud of his staff and professional associates and the manner in which all strive to provide excellent equine veterinary care.
